Wood County Heritage Days celebrates Wood County’s strong ties with agriculture and the farm. We hope to connect Wood County’s rich farm history with the current trend of local and sustained farming, community farmers’ markets, and local agricultural support groups who can share information on today’s farming practices.
The Power of Yesteryear Club Antique Farm & Tractor Show features restored & non-restored tractors, gas engines, and farm equipment. Events include a kiddie pedal pull, a tractor parade, and oil and field demonstrations from a working oil derrick.
“Life at the Home” demonstrations will show daily chores done on the homestead - from cultivating the earth to cooking over an open a fire, along with many skilled demonstrations of lost arts. Live animals, local music, and children’s games and activities provide fun for all ages. Sunday events include the annual Wood County Historical Society BBQ Fundraiser and the Wood County Spirit Awards ceremony honoring notable Wood Countians.
If you would like to participate as a vendor or demonstrator, please review the vendor criteria and send in your application with payment (if applicable) by or postmarked by MAY 15, 2010.

ENTERTAINMENT
A variety of talents assemble throughout the weekend. From Dulcimers
to bluegrass, this event examines how music helped fuel our history.
The Museum provides a tent-covered stage, and limited sound system.
Performers are welcome to bring their own sound system if desired.
Acoustic or solo performers may also play throughout the grounds.
Performances last for 60-120 minutes.
If you are a musician or musical group interested in performing, contact Kelli Kling at museum@woodcountyhistory.org for more information.
