The Power of Yesteryear Club will be holding a tractor ride to help promote the annual Spring Show and the club.
The 18-mile loop will start (1:30pm) and end at the Wood County Historical Museum, with a pot-lock following.

Criteria
DEMONSTRATORS [Download the 2013 application today]
Demonstrators provide a hands-on approach to
the historic or farm-related arts. See farming equipment in action such as cultivators, grinders, and shellers. Food demonstrations may include bean snapping, cider press, and watching corn go from the stalks to delicious cornbread. Live animals help us understand milking and other farm chores.
BOOTH INFORMATION -
1. BOOTH SET-UP TIME: Friday, June 7 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM*
(*Set-up on the grounds after 5 PM is allowed, however staff may not be available for assistance) [or] Saturday, June 8 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
2. 2013 EVENT HOURS: Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9; 10 AM to 4 PM each day.
3. The Wood County Historical Society is not responsible for any loss or damage to the property of the participant.
4. Exhibitors must furnish their own needed materials such as tents, tables, chairs, display walls, extension cords, signage, etc.
5. ADVANCE RESERVATION NECESSARY for the use of 110 or 220 electrical service, water service, or fire pit access. Please indicate on application.
6. Participants are selected strictly on their merit as interpreted by the Wood County Heritage Days ad-hoc Committee and the staff of the Wood County Historical Center & Museum.
7. The Wood County Historical Society takes no percentage of profits from outside vendors unless otherwise stated.
8. Booth spaces are marked in 10’ x 10’ increments. Multiple spaces available.
9. BOOTH FEES:
- Sutlers and vendors selling items for profit: $25/one day, $40/two days for each 10’ x 10’ space.
- Food vendors: $50/one day, $70/two days for each 10’ x 20’ space.
- Demonstrators and Community Groups: no charge.
- Any unusual circumstances or discrepancies will be reviewed by the Wood County Heritage Days ad-hoc committee.

We encourage food vendors to apply who have an authentic pioneer
or hand-made approach to their craft.

Wood County Historical Society will host an annual BBQ fundraiser
on Sunday, June 9, so no competing food vendors will be hired
on that day.

ENTERTAINMENT [Download the 2013 application today]
A variety of talents assemble throughout the weekend. From dulcimers
to bluegrass, this event examines how music helped fuel our history.
The Museum provides a tent-covered stage, and limited sound system.
Performers are welcome to bring their own sound system if desired.
Acoustic or solo performers may also play throughout the grounds.
Performances last for 60-120 minutes.

Sponsors at this level support craft materials and historic games to educate and entertain children of all ages.
“Sounds on the Grounds” sponsor : $100 - $149.
Sponsors at this level will offset the cost to bring talented, local musicians to the event.

*NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR SPIRIT OF WOOD COUNTY AWARDS*
BOWLING GREEN, OHIO – Nominations are being accepted through April 26, 2013 for the annual Spirit of Wood County Awards that will be presented at Wood County Heritage Days on Sunday, June 9 by Commissioners James Carter, Joel Kuhlman, and Doris Herringshaw, Ed.D.
Wood County residents are invited to nominate current or former county
residents for one of seven awards: Agricultural Leadership; Industrial/Economic Development; Education for Civic Responsibility;
Liberty Through Law/Human Freedom; Religion and Liberty; Self-Government; and the Lyle R. Fletcher Good Citizenship Award.
Nomination forms and category descriptions are available on the Wood
County website, www.co.wood.oh.us. A list of previous
award recipients is also posted on the website. Forms are also available
in the Wood County Annual Report.

Spirit of Wood County Award Winners Recognized for 2012
The Board of County Commissioners, Jim Carter, Tim Brown, and Joel Kuhlman, honored six area residents during the 2012 Spirit of Wood County Awards on June 10, 2012, at the Wood County Historical Center.
The 2012 award winners include Walbridge resident William Hirzel for Agricultural Leadership, Bowling Green residents Hugh Caumartin for Education for Civic Responsibility and Gary Spencer for Liberty Through Law/Human Freedom, former Northwood City Administrator Pat Bacon for Self-Government, and North Baltimore resident George Thompson for the Lyle R. Fletcher Good Citizenship Award. A Spirit of Wood County Award was also presented to former Wood County Commissioner Alvin Perkins of Bowling Green.
