GRAND ACTIVITIES FOR GRANDPARENTS DAY

Bring your grandparents to the Wood County Historical Center & Museum and find out what life was like for them when they were kids!  If you are a GRANDparent or a GRANDkid, come to the GRAND event at the museum in honor of Grandparents Day, on Sunday, September 7th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Special activities include a treasure hunt tour of the museum, playing games, making a craft, and enjoying snacks.  Grandparents and grandkids will also have the opportunity to interview each other about what it’s like to be a kid.  The interviews will be transcribed and placed in the museum’s archive for future research and exhibits.

In conjunction with the event, the museum is offering special GRAND memberships now through the end of September.  With the purchase of this special membership, grandchildren and grandparents receive free admission to the museum when they visit together. GRAND memberships are available for $20 and renewable on an annual basis.

The GRAND event is open to the general public.  Admission is free for members, $4.00 per nonmember adult, and $1.00 per nonmember child.
